With my 2nd we had to do it a lot sooner because he got some kind of infection in his mouth and the medicine said he couldn't have his pacifier so we just stopped giving it to him. It is really hard to take things away that signify they aren't baby's any more. Good luck whenever you decide to do it!Jenny S.
