My oldes...I got a little teary eyed with this post. My oldest is 7 and he is socially awkward. I wish it weren't true, but I see the way kids talk to him. The way parents look at him, when he is going on and on about something. He is painfully passionate about things sometimes. But, he is SO much like me. Kids didn't out right make fun of me, but I as skinny with stringy blonde hair, and my mom shopped at garage sales for my clothes. BTW, I am SO that Mom that is always standing to the side not able to figure out how to join in talking with the soccer moms. I just don't seem to click with them. Oh well.Jenny S.
